Sex-Cache's Why so expensive?

For those of you who are new to the transgender or cross dressing world a sex-cache or a gaff is an article that holds everything back and smooth. This is important for when you are wearing revealing clothing or tight jeans. There are many different places online or even in some cities that sell these in varying different styles and shapes. They range anywhere from fifteen to twenty-five dollars each. I don't understand this, they are easy to make if you can sow and making your own only cost about three dollars. A basic gaff is essentially a jock strap but instead of it cupping the nether regions it flattens them. So in short its flat tight fitting cloth instead of being sewn into a cup. Now some people say they get chaffing, pinching, and even bleeding (from the pinching). They may have to small of a size or are wearing it wrong. I have been using ones I have made for me and there have been no problems. If you are able to sew all you need is muslin cloth (for the bottom layer), a stiff upper fabric (for example thick denim), basting, and elastic. To design your pattern measure from just above the natural line of your pubic hair down to the 3/4 'ish area of the mid line (between your legs). Next measurement is from crease to crease of legs along the top of your natural hair line, subtract half an inch. Now take your length measurement (do not include the penal bulge, tuck it back) and draw a line down the center of the page. Now across the top draw a line the length of the crease to crease measurement. on the bottom of the ling line draw a line on each side 1 1/4 inch, connect the horizontal line forming a triangle without the point. Add 1/4 inch to the top for seam allowance. Use this pattern to cut the fabric and lay them on top of each other. Use the basting (I recommend at least 1" basting) to sew your layers together. The elastic becomes the waist band and the back straps. Make sure the waist band is comfortable, for example if your measurement is 32" cut the elastic that long and sew the ends together so you have an inner measurement that is 30 1/2" to 31". The back straps will vary from person to person take this measurement in a squatted position with the elastic taught that way when standing it will be semi taught and comfortable.

It is that simple to make your own gaff, so why do they charge so much for you to buy one? I have made three using these instructions and you are not able to see a bulge in anyway even after a full day of wear. Yes, you have to tuck it back when putting the gaff on but they work and form a perfect triangle. If any of your have improvements on this design please, let me know or if you have any questions let me know, either by comment here or email me.

I hope this helps those of you who are broke and can't afford to spend upwards of ten dollars on one under garment.
